Okay, the gym doesn’t suck. The whole process of going, however, does suck. You have to get dressed, pack up your clothing, your ipod, etc and get in the car. You drive 5 or so miles, get out of your car, get your bag of crap, go in, change into work out clothes, then you can finally get down to business. When you finish working out, you go shower and change, pack your stuff back up, go back to your car and drive the 5 or so miles back home, drag your stuff back in the house.
Now doesn’t that sound like a whole lot of suck? Wouldn’t it just be easier to have your own exercise equipment at home? I know it’d be a lot less work and far more motivating than the whole process of gathering up all that stuff and going elsewhere. The only downfall is that you can procrastinate and make all the excuses in the world not to do it, since your equipment will be there later. But, there are the same excuses for going to the gym. It will be there later, I can go tomorrow, and so forth.
I’m still anti-gym’s because of the people, but I’ll still go. When I get the motivation to go.
