I had a day, hopefully you did too.
Extreme Foreclosure
I am disgusted by this story. I really just can not put into words how disgusted I am. What in the hell were these people thinking? I mean, you get your house redone, mortgage paid off, money for taxes and stuff and you borrow against it? What in the bloody hell? I just don’t get it at all. If it was me, I’d enjoy not having to deal with anything. I’d enjoy having a home that doesn’t leak, I’d enjoy not having to worry about what was going to break and I’d definitely enjoy not having to pay a mortgage.
I wish people would think about what they’re getting before they go and ruin it. I’m disgusted and appalled that this has happened. I just really wish others could treat the gifts they were given as gifts.
In the day and age of trying to find the best diet pills and having them sold in every venue possible, it’s hard to tell what are good and what are not so good. That’s where it becomes handy to have a website that talks about which ones are legitimate and which are not. Trust me, there are a lot of them out there that are not what they advertise.
Prices Exposed does just that, they talk about the many different pills that are on the market. They compare the pills, tell what the lowest prices possible and allow you to comparison shop without going to a ton of sites. It makes it a lot easier for you to find the pill that works the best for you.
I am not an advocate of diet pills, however, if you are going to take them, you need to be informed and that’s why I’m telling you about Prices Exposed. You need to consider your decisions carefully before ever purchasing. Make sure you read all the warnings, drug interactions and side effects thoroughly.

Funny enough, it’s the middle of summer and I’ve been cooking and baking a lot. Usually it’s too hot to bother with cooking, much less baking. We actually had a few cool days, so it wasn’t bad. Saturday I made my second loaf of Italian bread, a batch of blueberry muffins and dinner. Sunday, after boiling in the sun while picking blueberries, I came home and made BBQ Bacon Cheeseburgers and fresh sweet corn. Heck, last night I made bacon, eggs and toast for dinner after having made grits for lunch.
I’ve cooked more this summer than I usually do in the summer. It’s absolutely crazy. I suppose, though, I need to go get dressed and ready to head out to Rob’s doctor’s appointment. I still don’t wanna go. Blah. Guess I ain’t got much of a choice.

So, catch up Sunday ended up not panning out totally since we left for quite a while, that means I have more catching up to do. I would have posted more yesterday or today but I’ve just not been in a very good mood. I’m still not in a very good mood, but the reason is not for me to talk about. Long story short, Rob has extra days off this week and it’s not paid, nor is it by choice.
What this means? I probably won’t get my catch up posts done until Saturday when he goes back to work. Tomorrow he has a doctor’s appointment. Joy of joys. I don’t really want to want to deal with more medical appointments. I need to make an appointment for myself soon. Bah. I don’t really want to go back to see her, I really don’t. Oh well, what can I do?
I should be asleep, I just really don’t want to, plus I’m watching Big Brother After Dark on Sho 2. I never fall asleep until it’s over anyway, so I might as well stay up a bit longer and write a post before sleeping. I need to update the list of stuff I need to post about too. Too much going on, not enough hours in the day it feels like sometimes.

Paula Deen Is Trying To Kill Us | Serious Eats : Required Eating
Leave Paula alone! If you don’t like something she makes, you don’t have to make it or eat it. It’s not difficult, people. She cooks what real people would cook. She doesn’t cook the way others do. For instance, look at Rachel Ray’s 30-Minute meals. Half of her ingredients are higher end products that are not readily available to the common person.
Even Bobby Flay, who is another of my Food Network favorites cooks with higher priced product. Not everyone buys the higher price steaks, or grills everything. I mean, come on people. We eat what we can afford. Why should people be pissing on Paula for a recipe that you don’t have to try, especially when all you’re talking about are two ingredients.
And hey, aren’t they primary ingredients in cheesecake? I kind of think so.. So grow up, get over it, move on and leave Paula ALONE.

I have a major case of garden lust. Seriously. Why? The last couple years I’ve grown cucumbers, tomatoes and squash and not really had a whole ton of luck, even tho I’ve been gardening for years. My tomatoes that I started from seed all died because of a late frost. So I’ve got no garden at all this year. I’ve seen other people’s lush, beautiful gardens around here and it makes me really sad. I don’t like that the only thing I’ve planted are my lilac bushes and rose bushes.
They seem to be doing well, though, so I can’t complain too much.. other than that they need the grass cut around them again. Stupid rain has made it hard to keep up with the yard this summer. I just hope that when he mows, he doesn’t mow ‘em down on accident. so yes, this year I have garden lust and I’m extremely jealous of those of you with good gardens

Friday night, Rob and I got to go check out a new band. They are called The Cheyenne Band. They’re really a lot better than I expected, to be honest. They play a lot of older and some newer country and were really good. People were really enjoying themselves.
I got to say hi to a friend I hadn’t seen in quite a while, and had a nice conversation with a couple that lived in the trailer park, two places away from us. I hadn’t really talked to them since we moved, really, so it was nice talking to them at length. Overall, it was a really nice night. We had a nice time. Too bad this is probably the only week we can go. Maybe I’ll scope out other events for this week, depending on what happens tomorrow and we can do that.
For now, I’m done. I have more on my to post about list, those will come tomorrow or sometime this week. Hope everyone had a good weekend and has a good week.

Have you ever looked at business loans to open a restaurant? It’s one of the hardest businesses to get financial backing for. That’s why you need to check out Advance Restaurant Finance. They offer the most competitive rates possible and help you get your business financed. Since banking is such a tough area to count on right now, you can rest assured that Advance Restaurant Finance will be around because they are regulated by the State of California.

So, one of the things that I had on my list of things to do on Rob’s day off was go pick blueberries after his doctor’s appointment on Wednesday. I have never done it before, and thought it would be fun to do. Well, today Rob came home early and I had to send him to the store for stuff to finish dinner. We sat there talking and the decision was made that we’d go pick blueberries.
I really have no idea how that decision actually came about, but we got dressed and headed off to pick blueberries. It was fun, relaxing and it was thoroughly enjoyable to play in the field, listening to others who are doing the same thing. We plan on going back to pick more, since we left sooner than I would have liked. I had walked to the car to get my phone and it was ringing. Silly me left it in the car, thinking I wouldn’t need it. Oh well. That wasn’t really a pleasant phone call, so we cut the picking short.
I am going again, we picked just shy of 4lbs of berries and want more to freeze for use all winter. We even gave some to my cousin before we headed home, so we ended up with 3lbs or more when we came home. Anyway. That’s blueberry picking.

Okay, so we’ll start at the top of the list I posted last night or this morning.. whenever it was.
Friday was pay day, so we had to go to the bank and do a couple errands. One of those things was to head to the weekly Farmer’s Market in Sayre. I’ve never been, since he usually works on Fridays. I was looking forward to being able to buy fresh local produce. So we went to the bank, went to Salvation Army in hopes of finding Rob a few pair of cheap jeans since he tends to rip them quicker than hell.
We had no luck, so we headed out to get some lunch. We decided on Chinese, which was so good and for once I didn’t end up wishing I hadn’t eaten it. That’s rare since my stomach tends to rebel often with the meds that I take. After lunch, we headed to the Farmer’s Market which was a real bust. There was only 2 vendors with produce, one was organic, the other was just plainly overpriced. The other 5 vendors had crafts, which isn’t bad, but it’s a waste if you’re looking for produce.
I figure that if I want a decent Farmer’s Market, I need to go into one of the cities for one. I think figure that in a city it’s easier to get vendors because of the population not being out in the farming land. But anyway, that’s enough for this post. Got more to write about

One of the problems that I’ve always had is that I have wicked breakouts. It’s not because my skin is oily, but it is because I get sweaty a lot. There are not really any acne products for that kind of problem. They focus on oily skin, pore issues, etc.
What about those of us who sweat? No matter what you wash your face with, no matter what you use on it, you still break out. And most of the products are for the face only. What about the breakouts that you get elsewhere? For instance, my shoulders, back, arms, legs all are break out areas. It’s frustrating.
But anyway, life will go on, right?

So, my desk is an absolute mess. I really don’t know why it’s such a mess, other than the fact that I tend to just let stuff pile up whereever and whenever. I should probably get some new office furniture in order to be better able to keep track of what I have. I need a small filing cabinet, really.
The problem, however, is that I have no real room for one since I don’t really have an office. Perhaps, some day I can have a real office. I’d like to have a real office, but where we live, there’s no room to do it. It’s okay though, the setup works for us the way it is.

I tend to buy a lot of items online and have used just about every payment method there is to pay for them. The latest payment method is eBillme. They allow you to pay cash using your checking account and schedule when you want the payment to be sent. You use your bank account’s bill pay service to send the money to eBillme and they pay the retailer.
It’s a simple process. For instance, I ordered a card reader from Tiger Direct since my new computer doesn’t have one. I chose eBillme as my payment method, it guided me through how to set up the payment and was done. It seemed like a daunting task at first, but it’s far easier than a lot of other payment services.
One thing to bear in mind, however, is that you have to be signed up for a bill pay service with your bank prior to using eBillme. That’s the only snag I had, but luckily, I have a second account that has the bill pay service enabled.
Give eBillme a try next time you want to make a purchase without giving out your banking information. I know that I will.

‘Scrabble’ maker Hasbro sues over ‘Scrabulous’ | News – Digital Media – CNET News.com
I’m not sure how I feel about this. I think it’s kind of sad in a lot of ways that Hasbro feels so threatened by an online game that they need to sue. The country is getting sue happy any more and this is just the latest in silly lawsuits. I do understand where they are coming from with it, but don’t they realize that they’re just bringing more bad attention and press to themselves? Scrabulous, as far as I can tell, has brought more people to playing Scrabble. Board games have died out and the online versions are starting to push people back to the games.
Sue happy people are ruining the world.

So, I have a lot of random thoughts bubbling around inside my head. Some days, I don’t know what to do with all those thoughts. I want to get them out, but it never happens. Today, however, all those thoughts keep bumping into each other and don’t want to come out. I want to stay quiet and wallow in my own thoughts. Instead of telling you about my thoughts, I’ll give you authorize.net to look at instead.

I know that I just posted recently about stem cell research, but I’m going to write about it again. I feel that any woman who is pregnant or considering having children should visit the C’elle website and learn more about stem cell research. More and more diseases are coming every day that medicine can’t cure without the help of stem cell advancements.
I know this research is controversial, but what medical advances haven’t been controversial? Years ago, AIDS research was controversial, so was research for cancer and or muscular dystrophy. Without medical advancements, the world is at a giant stand still. Without research, the amount of deaths from incurable diseases will not go down. In fact, it will continue to increase.
If you’re concerned about what others say about stem cell research, check out the C’elle Client Testimonial page and see what the first hand experiences have been like.

I was ambitious today. Seriously. I made Italian bread (in the bread machine, yes I am a cheater) and it turned out SO good. I’ve failed at simple white bread, I’ve failed at simple wheat bread, but my Italian bread came out almost perfect. It didn’t cave in for a change and it didn’t come out super heavy and yeasty. It’s a bit denser than I like, but it tastes absolutely fantastic. After the bread was out, I got dinner started. Whole roasted chicken with a light coating of olive oil just to get it crisp. To go with it was boxed (yep, cheated again) stuffing and instant (I cheat, sue me!) mashed potatoes with real, made from the chicken drippings, gravy.
I have been asked if I’m alright more times than I can count and I don’t understand why. I know I haven’t been posting much on livejournal lately, but there really isn’t a whole lot to post about. I get up, I do crap around the house, I futz around on the computer, I read, I watch TV, I play games, I go to bed and start all over again most of the time. Thusly, that is why there is usually only one ‘real’ update sometimes. So that’s the deal.
I’ve been monitoring blood sugar levels every few days for myself. My levels are super good, ranging in the 90′s, which is really great, considering they were afraid I was borderline diabetic. Meh. Rob’s levels are still high, but he’s going to the doctor sooner rather than later. Mom’s is a the high end of normal, so we’re not too worried.
I think that covers anything of interest.
So eggs!

Estelle Getty of ‘Golden Girls’ dies at age 84 – omg! news on Yahoo!
What a loss for television. She was such a great actress and really made Golden Girls. I still watch old reruns from time to time and she will always make me laugh.
Funny, I was just telling someone this morning that watching old made me really wonder what in the world I saw in some of the shows. For instance, Diff’rent Strokes was on BET and I watched some of that. I used to LOVE that show when it was originally on air. Now, however, I find it to be quite lame and stupid.
I can’t help but wonder if, in another 15 years we’ll look back at the shows we love now and feel the same way.
Anyway, all that being said, rest in peace, Ms. Getty.

Batman’s ‘Dark Night’ Sets Weekend Record – NYTimes.com
Did anyone expect anything less from ‘Dark Night’? Heath Ledger’s last movie, a Batman movie, there’s really absolutely no reason to expect that it wouldn’t set records. Personally, I did not go see it, I don’t plan on seeing it and I really don’t know if I’ll watch it when it comes out on DVD. In a sense it’s a bit creepy to see Heath in the role that could have lead to his death.
I found it a bit odd that they released it in the first place, but it was completed, so what can they do other than lose all the money that they had sunk into the filming and production costs.

So, from time to time, you see offers for different promotional products that a company sends out for review or just to get their word out. I have to wonder, does that make us look at things differently. Do we go out and buy the products that are so heavily promoted, or do we still shop they way we would without it? Some days it’s really hard to tell.

So I was watching Big Brother: After Dark last night on Showtime with closed captioning turned on because of the nature of the show volume being low then high and not wanting to mess with the volume. The problem is, however, that the captioning was WAY off and WAY inaccurate. I wonder if that’s because it’s a live show and it’s live captioning. I know that a lot of shows that are pre-recorded have fabulous captioning. I just wonder why live is so bad, do the captioners just not care?
