Have you ever?

Gotten a phone call from a number you didn’t recognize and wondered who it belongs to? I have. The only problem is, most of them you can’t run a normal reverse phone lookup on because they’re blocked. That’s why you need to have a site where you can get more in depth information about a phone number.

The National Phone Registry is that site. You can look up any phone number and get the information available, including a background check on the phone owner. In a sense that is a scary prospect, but a person does have to pay for that information and unless they are really desperate for the information, they won’t do it.

Can you imagine a National phone lookup service? The information you can get about who has actually been calling you, especially if they are trying to scam you. Which nowadays isn’t that uncommon. I have had several calls come in from what was supposed to be the Police for donations for whatever cause and it never is. They don’t do that in this area.

Can you imagine how many people end up getting scammed by phone calls like that? Especially older people who don’t give a second thought to a call. I’ve seen more than one case of a person getting scammed because they were too nice and generous. They believed that the person was legitimate, even though they were not.

Ever gotten a phone call saying that you’ve just won a prize? Just give us the information we need and we’ll transfer your prize winnings into your account! No, thank you, send me a check. But unfortunately, there are people out there who do give out their account numbers and *poof* there goes everything they had. My sister has gotten scammed by a bad check scheme before.

Too many schemers out there to not check out a phone number that you’re suspicious of. It could save you a lot of trouble and money in the end, so make sure you reverse phone lookup a number if you are unsure of it before giving anyone information that they want.

Last week…

Last week, Rob and I went blueberry picking on one of his days off. It was the last time for the year that we’ll be able to go, most likely. I didn’t think we’d get to go a second time and silly me, I forgot to take pictures while we were there. It was a beautiful day to do it, for sure. I ended up getting slightly sunburnt on my shoulder and my foot of all places. That’s what I get for wearing flip flops in the field.

I get yelled at for it, because it’s highly dangerous to wear anything but sneakers and long pants in a field, even if it’s clean and well kept. That’s alright though, I have been running around in fields all my life in shorts and bare feet and never really had a concern about it. I wouldn’t go completely barefoot now, though, but I really don’t worry too much.

I can’t wait until next summer, honestly, because I plan on going cherry picking at least once at the *good* orchard, blueberry picking once, if not two or three times, plus I intend to have a decent sized garden next year with our own fresh veggies. I have missed that this summer, I just have to make sure to do a decent sized plot, rather than plant a few things here and a few things there like I did the last couple years.

I know there are book of the month clubs, fruit of the month, and flowers of the month. But I did not know, and I have to wonder how many do know, that there is a bacon of the month club out there. I know we live in a crazy world, but I think that beats all forms of crazy.

Can you imagine this conversation?
Wife: Honey what do you think we should get your boss for Christmas this year?
Husband: How about we get him the bacon of the month club.
Wife: The what???
Husband: Bacon of the month.
Wife: Uh.. okay.

Yeah I’m sure that could happen.

It’s never fun when someone asks you how to lose weight. It’s different for everyone. For instance, for me, I have metabolic problems, so my weight loss is from the medications that I am on. I need to figure out if I can make it speed up the rate of loss, especially since I feel like I’m not losing at all now.

Others can lose weight with diet and exercise, which is great for them but it doesn’t work for everyone. Some people have to end up having to resort to surgery in order to lose weight. So it’s never the same answer for everyone. You just have to figure out what is going to work for you and do it.
