Books, Reading, Audiobooks

I love reading, this is never been a question in my life. I’ve been reading since I was old enough to know how. In one of the rooms in our upstairs where I grew up there were at least 5 or 6 boxes full of books. A lot of them were ‘bodice rippers’, but there were some fantastic books in the lot. The problem is, when we moved out of the house, the books got left behind and it sucked. My parents just plainly didn’t understand my desire to build a library.

I still love books, I buy them as often as I can and I still want to build a library room. The thing is, more and more now, I prefer audiobooks. Mostly because I haven’t gotten the hang of reading while crocheting. I can watch TV and crochet, but reading is out. I also can’t sit and read a book while doing stuff on the computer either.

After reading the paper copies of all the Twilight and Harry Potter series, I’ve been listening to the Audiobook versions. Currently, I’m listening to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. When I’m finished, I don’t know for sure what I’m going to listen to. I’m considering going back to the Twilight books, or the Sookie Stackhouse books. I’m not sure yet.

I need to finish reading the book I started ages ago. Meh, there needs to be more hours in the day.

    Hi Serena,

It's Edan. I too have a joy for reading although I didn't start until I was 20. I don't know if you've tried these authors or not but I enjoy them. Mercedes Lackey, Laura Hamilton, Patricia Biggs and Terry Goodkind.

Happy reading and peace be with you.
