Okay, so it’s Super Bowl Sunday. Now what? I’m the only one in the house who cares, so I’ll probably be watching the game alone. *lesigh* I won’t be watching the pre-game stuff, however. The only thing I did do was make some good, bar-style wings. They were freaking awesome. I heated up a couple cups of oil in my wok, waited for it to heat, then tossed a dozen wings in. Once they were cooked and crisp, I tossed them in some Anchor Bar Wing Sauce cut with a touch of BBQ sauce. It’s the first time I’ve made them that way. Usually we don’t try to fry them and use regular or homemade BBQ Sauce.
…and several hours (and one football game later)
The game was fabulous. Seriously. I managed to get my mother to watch it with me, so I actually didn’t have to watch it alone. This makes me happy because I hate being the only one to watch it in the house. I get a bit animated.
For the longest time, it looked like the Steelers were going to walk away with it easy, but the Cards made a great comeback. I’m glad the Steelers won, though. Sorry Cardinals fans. It was a great game, over all. Some really bad calls, though, but at least it wasn’t a complete runaway and came down to the last few minutes. Otherwise, it would have been exceptionally boring.
Anyway, I was looking through my blog the other day and came to the realization that I post way too much about weight loss pills way too much. I wonder if it stems from being overweight my entire life. I’ve always been heavy, so I notice the push to get people to lose weight more. I know I need to and I am, but it seems to me that it is either more frequent that they’re advertising diet aids, or I’m just hyper-aware now that I’m actually trying to lose.
Who knows, I’ll expound on it more in a future post, I suppose.
