Where anything can grow with just a bit of nurturing

Archives for April, 2009

Okay, so..

Yesterday was so bloody hot that I had to escape the house. We decided to go to the Mall, thinking it’d be a change of pace and slightly cooler. Yeah, no. The mall in question was hot, and? Most of the freaking stores that I liked are GONE. Seriously, my favorite candle shop (No, not Yankee) is gone, there’s a tattoo and piercing shop in place of another shop. The dollar store I loved is now Radio Shack, which used to be in a larger store front. The other little gift store I liked is now a tiny clothing store. Ritz Camera is having a going out of business sale. :( The Disney store is now a sprint store. It’s crazy. Soon, Jo-Ann’s Fabric and Craft is moving out too.

I said to Rob, “This place is like a morgue” while we were walking around. What’s sick and ironic.. they have a store front that is selling gravestones. I also said to him that we wouldn’t be visiting that mall again. So today we find out that we will, indeed, be going there again. Next Tuesday afternoon. Shoot me! I will spend 5+ hours killing time at the mall. I can’t believe this is going to be the case. At least they have free wifi hotspots, I just hope that I can find somewhere with an outlet so I can plug my laptop in. I will also have books and my iPod with me. I might give in and see a movie just to pass the time.

The world is conspiring against me, I think. ;) If I didn’t need to do some stuff in the city after Rob gets done with what he needs to do, I wouldn’t go, but I can’t really complain much. It just puts us one step closer to a goal that’s taken quite a bit of time to get to. That puts so many things into perspective for me. It changes a lot of things, as well. All for the better. Just a couple more weeks and I just can not wait. *bounces a bit*

I have a few more things to post about, about twitter and IM’s and stuff. That will come later, though. I need to get some requests together for new icons. I also need to work on blinkies that I donated . If you are one who ended up with p2b’s from me, the first public post in is where to go request them. :)

Miley Cyrus – HoeDown ThrowDown (Official CDrip) (+Lyrics)

Lyrics | Miley Cyrus Lyrics | Hoedown Throwdown Lyrics

Well…

I’m kind of thinking this might be the only thing I can say about today’s NASCAR race. So I’ll babble about other things..

I’m kind of ticked at the weather. It’s been near 90 for the last 2 days and tomorrow will be another day of it. It’s only April, Mother Nature, give me a break! I shouldn’t be digging out summer clothes for another couple weeks yet.

I think I should sleep, that way I can get stuff done tomorrow. I thought I had something to say, but I really don’t. Not today. Feh.

Update

The last few days have been pretty eventful, but not in any major way. Wednesday was supposed to be the day our car got fixed. I had also made an appointment to get my hair cut before hand. Yes, you read that right, I cut my hair off. No there are no before/after pictures. I’ll take pics sometime soon. We took the car to be fixed, but the mechanic had a police cruiser that took priority, which is completely understandable. We took care of a couple errands, got lunch and headed home. Later, we decided that it wasn’t raining, we’d go to the Varsity Baseball game. It was freaking COLD! It was more like football weather, frankly. We didn’t win, but it was a REALLY good game. Final score was 7-6. I wish I could go to more games, but with Rob’s schedule, it’s hard.

Thursday was.. fun. I had made plans with my sister to go shopping, so we headed out early and went to her house. We didn’t shop for anything too fun, but she took me to a neat little thrift store. I love Salvation Army thrift stores, so I didn’t really have much hope for this one. I was pleasantly surprised and even picked up a cordless phone, a copy of Julie Garwood’s Heartbreaker and a pair of shorts for Rob for a total of $7.77. I can’t even do that at Salvation Army in Ithaca. I will be heading there again, when I can browse at my pace. After we got done shopping, we took my sister for Lunch at Five Guys. If you haven’t been to one and have one local. Go. Now. Seriously. They have the best burgers and the best fries evah. Everything made to order and you can have whatever you want on your burger for no extra charge.

Friday was long, very long. It’s been a long week, overall. Our car did get fixed, cheaper than we thought it would be, so that makes me happy. We also got word that the week I wanted Rob to have off for vacation was going to be the one he gets. We didn’t think he could since it had a no requests marking. It must have been just for crew days off. I’m excited because we can actually make plans for the 4th of July this year. We will also be able to go cherry picking the first of July too. *bounces* I didn’t really want to wait another extra week for him to be on vacation, honestly. I’m used to him having to pick whatever’s left, so it’s nice to get the week we wanted.

This week should be fairly quiet. Only things on tap, really, is a baseball game on Monday afternoon. Rob works 1-9 shifts most of the week and it sucks. Hopefully it’ll be a fast week. Since this has taken me two days, i think I’ll call it the end. I’ll post again soon.

I know..

I know I’ve been a horrible non-poster lately. I’d apologize, but well, I can’t apologize for being busy, stressed and just not having the time to post by the end of the day. I’ve been writing, a lot. Thusly, not posting much. Most of the time it’s little nonsense articles about American Idol or Twitter, but hey, they make me money, so it’s all good. :P

I’ve also been spending quite a bit of time away from the house when I can. Now that the weather is warming, I don’t want to be home as much, so when I am home, I’m working my butt off to make sure that I don’t have to be home when I can get out somewhere. That likely doesn’t make sense, so lets put it this way.. when Rob’s off work and it ain’t raining, we’re not here. The downside to all of this? I tend to put off posting and when I get around to it, my brain is already toast.

I’m currently watching American Idol – Disco week. I am glad that it’s getting down to the top 5, it’s been a slow, painful season. There is so much fabulous talent, but it’s been.. hard to watch. The favorites were picked early, it’s pretty much a forgone conclusion that Adam Lambert will be in the final two. I don’t really like when it’s this predictable.

I’ve been reading like a fiend and listening to audio books while I write. I know a lot of people don’t consider listening to audio books as ‘reading’, but I do. Frankly, I absorb more than by reading the actual book. I have a book list, complete with re-reads, It’s posted up with my stickied posts. I’ll update it every once in a while.

Tomorrow is gonna be a busy day, so is Thursday. I hope to post again before Friday. We’ll not hold our breath though. ;)

Lil – I agree with Simon, time to go buhbye
Kris – WOW! I liked that arrangement.
Danny – Thank you for not dancing like a monkey on crack.
Allison – did you get dressed by a cracked out hooker? Dear god. That song really doesn’t work with her voice.
Adam – Interesting arrangement. Didn’t really care for it. I think a second listen, I’d like it.
Matt – I went ‘huh’ when I heard the song choice, but daaaaaaaaaamn I liked it!
Anoop – I don’t care for you either. Sorry, this was not great

Bottom 3 predictions – Lil, Anoop, Allison

This looks.. AMAZING

This looks.. AMAZING

1) Croissants!  Seriously.  They are the only place in this area that I can find croissants in this area where they don’t cost an arm, leg and first born child.

2) They carry EVERYTHING.  I do mean everything.  They carry clothes, car parts, grocery items, industrial supplies, restaurant supplies, gardening items, computers, electronics.  Everything.

3) The prices.  I pay, at the local grocery store, $2lb for cottage cheese, but Sam’s Club carries a 5lb container for $5.23.  Half the price of the grocery store.

4) Bulk Sizes.  I bought a large box of jalepeno poppers.  40-50 per box.  I go to the grocery store and can barely get 10 in a box.  That’s just about enough for me.  I could easily live on the things, but at $3/box for 10-12, it’s not worth it.

5) Convenience.  Despite the size of the stores, it’s convenient.  You can get your pet food, groceries, a new computer, tires for your car and a new outfit, all in one stop.

Yeah, I love Sam’s Club.  And I don’t even have my membership yet.  Soon, though.  Soon.

If only money grew on trees.  If it did, I would be one happy girl.  That leads to the question.. What would you do if money grew on trees?

One thing that I’d like to do is set up my own home theater. Why? Because I love movies and would love to be able to watch them however they are meant to be watched.

Another thing that I’d like to do is set up a proper office with an L shaped desk.  One where I can have my computers under my desk, against a wall with a window to look out.  Everything I need at the tips of my fingers and not looking like a pile of papers exploded.

The other thing I’d like to do, if money grew on trees, is take a trip to see my neice and of course my in-laws.  I miss them, frankly.  Plus they live in Las Vegas and I miss it there, somewhat.

Happy Easter?

What a crazy day today ended up being. Last night wasn’t anything to sneeze at either, really. So lets start there. I came out of the bedroom and saw flashing red lights out my back door. Now, we have a volunteer firefighter that lives up the road, so it was just him. He was going on a call. There were all kinds of sirens, though, so we turned on our scanner to see what was going on. Turns out that there was an accident on the road that runs parallel to ours. In the end, there was one that was killed, which is rather unfortunate, since I graduated with his youngest brother.

So, fast forward to this morning. I get up, go get my bottle of water, talk to Mom for a bit, then come back to take my pills. I sit down and turn my monitor on, was reading plurk and I hear a truck coming up the road fairly fast. This is nothing out of the ordinary, since they don’t obey the speed limit on this road very much. Next thing I hear are squealing breaks and a loud crash. REALLY loud crash.

So, I jump out of my chair and run up the hall, tripping and falling on my face in my doorway. Oops, ouch. I pick myself up and get outside to see what happened. There’s two vehicles that had come together. One ended up in our yard, the other ended up across the road. No one was injured, but it sure as well was a mess. The one vehicle had a trailer load of plywood on it. The side of the trailer was destroyed, the plywood ended up in our driveway. The cop took damn near forever to get there, the wind was blowing like whoa. Of course, I’m out there trying to keep the driver of the one vehicle from going off on the other driver.

The driver at fault was driving far too fast, he was also in the middle of the road. He was just barely 18, but he was fully aware he was at fault. The other driver was completely freaked out, despite being 48 years old. You would think that the older person would be more calm than the teenager. I played mediator and kept one on each side of me at all times because the longer it took the cop, the more freaked out the guy got. Anyway, when it was all said and done, both got ticketed. The kid god failure to keep right and the other guy got driving with suspended license.

Beyond that, the day was quiet. We had a nice, quiet dinner, just slightly later than we planned. We had a fabulous strawberry cheesecake for desert, doubling as Rob’s birthday cake. His birthday isn’t until Wednesday, but it made more sense to have the cheesecake today rather than trying to have two cakes in a matter of 3 days. Especially since his schedule sucks massively and he has to work from 1pm-9pm all week. We’ll be having his birthday meal tomorrow, for the same reason.

At some point in the last few days, I did something to my big toe. It hurts, like massively. I thought that it was just a fluke, since it didn’t really hurt this morning, but tonight, it’s just massive amounts of pain. I probably shouldn’t have stood on my feet for over an hour this morning, but someone had to do it. I will be going to the Walk-In clinic tomorrow if it’s not any better. I don’t want to do that, but I’m afraid there might be something seriously wrong. I just really hope not.

One thing that I need to do soon is go to the craft stores.  That can’t happen with my toe bothering me this badly.  I want to find the yarn I need to finish a baby blanket, plus I want to get some supplies to create a custom rubber stamp for a special project.  I also want to pick up some yarn for a special blanket that I want to make for a girl who is in the hospital.

Meh, I’m tired and I think this is enough for tonight. See y’all tomorrow.

One thing that never ceases to amaze me about the IRS is the length of time that it takes for them to process things.  We did our taxes first thing this year, they were mailed before the end of January.  Yes, I said mailed.  We mailed them in because we had extra forms to send.  The problem with that? They lost the extra forms! I kid you not, they lost them for the second year in a row.  It severely pisses me off that they continue to do this.

So, I learn at the beginning of March they lost my papers, I reprint and refile it.  Now, a month later, we’ve not heard anything about whether they’ve received it or not.  I called Thursday, enquiring about it, and found that they have received it, but the processing time would be far longer than the normal.

This year, the processing for the forms is 11 weeks.  The time starts from when that form was received, not from the time the return was received, however.  That is also a change.  All in all, this means that our tax refund will not be processed until the first of June.  What the hell? That sucks major amounts of ass.  I’m fed up with the IRS, fed up with having to file forms two or three times before they actually get it.

Why is this so frustrating? Because I have plans for part of the money. I had planned to get more laptop memory and upgrade it to be able to use it for more than a random lookup of an item or something.  I’d like to be able to use it to do more than VNC into my desktop as well, but that’s about all that it’s good for because it only has 512mb of RAM.  The desktop is far faster and more responsive.

I also want to get a new camera.  I want something with a decent optical zoom.  I’m thinking about getting a Canon Powershot SX110IS 9MP Digital Camera with 10x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom, but I’m not sure if I want to give up my Kodak.  I love my Kodak, but I know I need a better camera.  I’m sure I can find a Kodak that’s just as good as the Canon.

Meh.  I’m frustrated, but if it doesn’t come to June, that means we’ll have some play money for the summer, which is pretty atypical.  It’ll be nice, but there’s so many things that I need that money for right now.  It sucks, really, but what can you do? Other than say FU to the IRS.

Zow, zow, zow

Watch me go-oh

Strike the right chord, and I rap, rap my skull cap
Electric, until I blow my top off
I wrap my lyrics right around the globe
I lay lobes and all
Bit by bit I make it fit
Cause I’m here to knit myself together
and whatever split for my format
and after that
I never stay the same
and treat the freak like a doormat
Jump around on it
I’m here to spray poetic confetti already
Open open open up your skull cap
and let it rain, let it rain, let it rain
Let it drain

All the I’m-too-cool-to-have-a-good-time-
but-really-I’m-a-muted-trumpet type of talkaway
Hey-ey-ey
move to the front, take it off, take it off,

Welcome to my brain, I got the lid off
my chest I got my nut off
the type of spirit that can break your framework
the same by the end will stay the same
hear the voice of summer
Zow za zow zow
but once I gotta hum a melody
that represents the type of flow I kick
when my tongue is swingin’ like a drumstick
of a jazzy type of lick
everybody’s got the lid on tightly
afraid of what might be lurking right behind
and out of safety
so undo yourself and watch my rhyme go
out of my lyrical chimney
but don’t repeat my voice to the beat

when you hear the track again make up your own words
Cause the rhythm is a conduit to break a split from the homegrown
The well known is on to the unknown
See everyone’s a firecracker like a phone about to get hooked up
and let look up and let look up and let whatever bubbles up
out your head spread the vibes and illuminate the sky

Cause it’s lucas with the lid off
it’s lucas with the lid off
it’s lucas with the lid off
Come on and take your lid off

Watch this
Watch me now you hear me now

I just posted this comment in response to a plurk

“Lose weight” Feh.. my mother’s doctor told my mother to do that yesterday and she’s down almost 100lbs in the last 5 years

So this leads me to wonder what the hell kind of doctor this is? It’s a new doctor, this was her first visit to him, but he has all her charting and records, but it really makes me wonder if he ever looked at any of it. Hell, if he had bothered looking, he would know that she’s still losing weight. She said that she’s now the lightest she’s been since she was young.

The ironic part? The subject started out being about shoes. I was looking for cute summer shoes, hoping to find a reasonably priced pair that actually fits properly. The problem is, I wear a Wide Width shoe, and I’m incredibly picky about the style of shoe I like. I kind of like the hurrache style, but I can’t really justify $50 for shoes when I try hard not to wear shoes often. I need to find myself a pair of cheap canvas sneakers too, something I can wear when we go pick cherries and blueberries.

I’m looking forward to warmer weather coming and staying. The continuous warm/cold weather changes are getting old. Ah well, guess it’s time to pay the car insurance again so that we’re good for another month. I have more things I need to do today too, so I think that’s the end of this post.

Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today!

My Scroll

Well..

I’m starting to run out of Reality Shows to watch. I have absolutely no use for Donald Trump after the latest Celebrity Apprentice. When he fired Tionne, I was not surprised. I remember when he did that to Bradford a LONG time ago. But when he fired Khloe over Clint? That’s BULLSHIT. Clint steam rolled the team and did what he wanted. His viral video SUCKED. It was firing-worthy, imho. But he fired Khloe for having a DUI and taking care of business. I understand that having a DUI isn’t a good thing, but come on, is that a reason to get rid of her? No. Fire based on the task, asshole. I’m seriously pissed and have serious reservations about watching any more of that crap.

I don’t really have much of a reason to watch to watch Dancing With The Stars now that Wozniac is off. There is no one else left that I particularly care for. I can already see the winner being Gilles. It’s not even fun to watch, especially with all the injuries.

I think that I may, finally, be over reality television. Could that be? Nah! I still watch quite a bit of it. I will say that the new ones that they’ve come up with, like Pretty Wicked, will not be anything I watch. I just have to stop watching these train wreck shows like Rock Of Love Bus or I Love Money. Tila Tequila is supposed to have a new one coming on. Need to avoid that, no matter how hot she is.

A conversation that pissed me off…

HER …twilight is horridly written
HER i read the first few chapters
ME big fucking whoop, you read the first few chapters.
ME I read the whole series.
ME If you don’t like it, fine, but don’t sit there and talk shit about something you have not read.
HER well we are about to talk shit though the whole movie =P
HER but the writing was just awful =P
HER so i gave it back to the community =P
HER i read stuff that has…literary…well, at least acceptability
HER but who knows, i could like the movie
HER i have not yet seen it, though i have inbibed a fair bit
ME What you like and what others like are two different fucking things. You do not need to sit and talk crap about the writing of a book you did not finish reading. You didn’t like it, fine. End of discussion.
ME I’ve had about enough of people talking out their asses about things they know nothing about. If you can’t bother to read the entire thing, you know absolutely nothing about it.
HER oh Bella`, i am not saying you have horrid taste, just that yours seems to be different from me and my friends
ME It may not be the best book out there, but goddamnit, it gets people to READ and that’s FAR more important than the ‘great literary quality’
HER after the movie i would be more than happy to give you my opinion
ME Don’t bother, I don’t want to hear it.
HER if you say so
HER i assume you have nto read WIlliam Gibson?
HER though i may be wrong in that assumption
ME Nice assumption. You should assume absolutely nothing.
HER fair enough.

Why on earth would you assume that I’ve not read William Gibson? I don’t understand. I realize that Twilight is not of the writing caliber of William Shakespeare or Charles Dickens, but come on, who sits and reads them for fun? Oh wait, I do. Have I read William Gibson? Sure have. I read Neuromancer ages ago. Wasn’t my cup of tea, frankly. I don’t care if others loved it, that’s their choice and I’m not going to diss them for it. Everyone has a right to read whatever they want. I read what I want, that’s my choice.

If you look at my Goodreads account, you’ll find that I’ve read quite a few different things in my lifetime. Do I like fluff? Sure, who doesn’t. I also like books that get people off the computer and into the pages of a book. So what if they’re fluff, they’re well-read fluff! Wouldn’t you rather have people reading something like Twilight than have them only ever read an automotive performance parts catalog? I know that if I were a parent, I’d want my kids reading books, any kind of books that capture their attention and imagination.

But that’s just me.

While I was watching one of those home renovation shows the other day, I commented to my mother about the sinks that they chose and didn’t understand why anyone would choose an undermount sink. Personally, I would find it saver to have a top mount, but I know that it looks slicker with the nice countertops, but it seems a lot more dangerous if you drop something on the edge of the sink.

I had more thoughts on home renovation but I lost my train of thought. I got derailed by someone who seems to think that it’s cool to insult Twilight and those who enjoy Twilight. Frankly, I think it’s semmed by jealousy, but whatever. I think I’ll post my opinions in another post.

Damien stood quietly along the fence.  He wasn’t sure what he was going to do, but he knew that the woman on the horse that was currently riding the horse was someone he had to get to know better.  He looked down at himself with a disgusted sigh.  His breeches were filthy, his shirt was unkempt, his books were scuffed and muddy and he didn’t feel like he was good enough.

She slowed, spying him standing at the fence, her eyes taking in his rough appearance.  She shook her head and stopped in front of him, “Damien, what are you doing here? I thought today was your off day?”

Damien shrugged, turned without a word and walked away, leaving Amy standing there, stunned.

shooting

I labeled 2 locations.. the location of the shooting rampage and the location of the high school, where my nephew spent the day on lock down. It’s crazy to think that this happened in Binghamton. I mean, I’m not naive enough to think that it couldn’t happen, but when you hear about shootings like this, it’s usually in a larger city or near one. It just shakes you up to think that it happened this close to ‘home’. Imagine if it had been noon, the students at BHS would have been out and about, since they are allowed to leave campus for lunch. Imagine if it had been before or after school hours. It could have been so much worse in so many ways.

I’m just stunned at everything that happened today, and it makes me wonder what kind of problems this person had to sit down and plan this. It was planned, they know that from the fact that he intentionally blocked the only other door to get out of the building. What kind of things go through the heads of these people and why had no one figured out that something was wrong with him. There had to be signs, but no one saw them, apparently.

14 senseless deaths, including the gunman, but it could have been so much worse. There should have been so many others. It could have been everyone in the building or it could have been anyone on the street. It could always be worse.

Things like this do NOT happen in Binghamton NY! Seriously.

Shooting in Binghamton
LOCAL News Report From WBNG
Binghamton shooting leaves a dozen dead @ Press Connects

Two men taken out in handcuffs and put in police cars, dozens of people are exiting the building.
At 3 p.m., Binghamton Police Chief Joseph Zikuski said no one taken from the building is a suspect, including two men who were removed in plastic handcuffs. A report of a man fleeing the building was false, Zikuski said.

My nephew is locked down just a short distance from this shooting. He’s safe, we know this for sure, but whoa… just… whoa.
Officials: Binghamton City Schools which were in lockdown are now dismissing students; people in other buildings also allowed to leave.

One thing that continues to shock me, even though it shouldn’t, is that the kids that are playing sports or are in the band and choir are the children of people were pregnant during my junior and senior year of high school. For instance, one of the baseball players is the youngest son of my American History teacher. I remember when he was born, because he was brought in and shown off one day. It’s easy to forget just how much time has passed until it smacks you in the head.

I had the same experiences during football season, too. One of the players, I remember holding shortly after he was born. Now he’s all grown up, playing football and working with my husband. Another of the football players followed in his father’s footsteps and it’s so weird to see his father on the sidelines yelling and cheering for him. He never had much use for the school, but he played football and was good. Now his son is on the football and baseball team and I remember when he was born as well.

It makes me wonder about a couple other women that I went to school with who were pregnant and/or had children before we graduated. All of those children are teenagers and of the age where they will be able to drive soon. That means that I’ve been out of school for 15 years now. It doesn’t really seem like it’s been that long, but then again, I look at Rob and realize that he and I have been together for 9, going on 10 years. We’ve only been married going on 6 years, but we were together for 3 years before getting married.

I’m sure everyone wonders why I don’t have any kids of my own, but it’s a choice that I’ve made. I don’t want children and I can’t bring children into this world when I don’t know if we could support them on our own. Financially, we’re barely supporting ourselves and to add a child, we would sink quickly. Besides that fact, as much as I love children, I don’t h ave the patience to be a parent. My fuse is far too short and I don’t think I could handle it. I know my limits.

Anyway, I’ve babbled on enough about sports and people and stuff, I should get back to doing what I need to do and see if I can find any programmer jobs that I’m still qualified for and that are telecommute. I probably won’t, but we’ll see. I would like to break back into that career path again, but it’s been a long, long time and I don’t think my skills are up to snuff any more.

So, after spending time trying to find a score from a High School Baseball game today, I found that it didn’t happen. What? The schedule on the school website was wrong. I was pretty damn pissed off when I found *that* out. Now, I have found that the game occurred on Tuesday. Wtf? I found this afternoon, while digging, that there was going to be a game *today* at home. Which game? The one that the school website said was *tomorrow* afternoon. The game that I *really* wanted to go to.

So, finding the game was today, I decided that we’d go to it. Had nothing else going on, so there’s no real reason that we couldn’t go. I also found out that the site that lists the fields that we play on were wrong. Wtf? Someone needs to update those sites, desperately. I did find the game, after realizing that I’m a dingbat. I should have known where they played, especially since I graduated from that freaking school. Why wouldn’t I know? Because I didn’t ever get to go to any of the games because I don’t drive and we only had one car that my father always had it and was too busy to go.

We got slaughtered, for the record. But it was fun, anyway. I’m not sure if I’ll go to another game or not, since it seems that I can’t get my husband to shut his damn trap. Ever. I was trying to watch the game and he was whispering comments in my ear the entire time. It’s kind of hard to pay attention when he’s complaining about the coaches, umps, etc. It amuses me, in a way, since he dislikes baseball and football, but he feels this dire need to comment on everything. Ah well. We’ll see.

Another thing that I spent my day doing was trying to figure out different ways to arrange the furniture in our bedroom.so we have more room. The plans were sparked by a conversation that we were having about the house I grew up in and how much I missed the large bedrooms that it had. There were 5 upstairs, 2 downstairs, and if we still lived in the house, I’d have the room for my own office. The only thing that I’d change about the house is having heat piped to the upstairs and the room we called the ice box.

I miss having that house, but it was on quite a bit of acreage and a large property tax bill. There’s no way we could have kept up with the taxes, which is why it was sold in the first place. Oh well, life will go on. I don’t mind where we live now. If I did mind, I probably wouldn’t be living here, frankly. It would just be nice to have more rooms, especially for my own office.
