I was recently given the chance to review the crystal holiday tree from Collectibles Today. I was so excited when I heard about these products. They’re absolutely *gorgeous* and I’d been eyeing similar items recently.
Let me tell you what, I am so glad that I didn’t buy one of the ones that I was looking at because the crystal holiday tree blew them all out of the water right out of the box! As soon as the UPS man left the box with me, I tore into it and set it up, because I wanted to see how it was going to look when I decorate for the holidays.
The first thing that surprised me was the heftiness of the glass that goes over the tree. I’m used to collectibles having flimsy glass that break if you look at them, but that’s definitely not going to be a problem with this. The base and tree itself is pretty, even without the glass covering it and the train circling the base of the tree just makes it even better! The biggest surprise for me was that the train will run even with the switch turned all the way down so you can’t hear the music. I do wish that they had a separate control, but you lose nothing by having it turned down that far.
It’s super cute and I can’t wait to actually do my decorating this year. It’s going on the table in the living room so everyone can see it. If you want a beautiful, durable collectible that you can pass on through generations, I would definitely suggest something like this. I know that I’m going to be displaying mine EVERY year from now on.
