Picture perfect memories scattered all around the floor Reachin for the phone cause I can’t fight it anymore And I wonder if I ever cross your mind For me it happens all the time
It’s a quarter after one, I’m all alone and I need you now Said I wouldn’t call but I lost all control and I need you now And I don’t know how I can do without I just need you now
Another shot of whiskey can’t stop looking at the door Wishing you’d come sweeping in the way you did before And I wonder if I ever cross your mind For me it happens all the time
It’s a quarter after one, I’m a little drunk and I need you now Said I wouldn’t call but I lost all control and I need you now And I don’t know how I can do without I just need you now
Yes I’d rather hurt than feel nothin at all It’s a quarter after one I’m all alone and I need you now And I said I wouldn’t call but I’m a little drunk and I need you now And I don’t know how I can do without I just need you now I just need you now Ooo, baby, I need you now
I used to dream about taking piano lessons when I was younger. I love the sound of a piano, wish that I had one of my own. I took up the clarinet in elementary school, I kept with it through part of Jr. High. I quit band, though, because it was hard to get to band on time, due to bussing circumstances.
One day, I’ll be able to take up piano, even if it’s just with a keyboard. I will teach myself if I have to, simply because I am desperate to learn and would give pretty much anything to have the chance to have piano lessons. I don’t think it could be that hard to teach myself, though.
Maybe I can ask my husband for piano lessons for a Christmas gift one year. That would be pretty cool, at least to me. Although, he’d probably look at me like I’m insane, since I’ve never expressed any sort of interest in the piano, outside of my love for classical music, which is typically focused on clarinet. What most people don’t realize is that the piano was my first love.

So, I don’t watch South Park. Like hardly ever. However, late at night, there is nothing else on to watch. I’ve noticed one thing about the show. There’s a teacher, a cop, a doctor, but there is no southpark dentist. Isn’t that kind of a bad thing? Especially if you want to portray a town of some sort.
I know that fictional shows are fictional, so yeah. I’m just completely random today.
Michael Jackson has passed away suddenly from an apparent overdose of prescription pain killers. While this is a tragedy, it shouldn’t be the subject of over 24 hours of coverage on almost every single channel. One of the things that was said that stood out to me though, was someone calling him the “Black Elvis.”
I’m not sure how I feel about that. In a lot of ways, Michael was like Elvis, right down to the way he died, but I’m just not sure that’s the right title to give him. That’d be like saying that the iPod is the best of the Mp3 players out there. Sure it’s great and one of the most innovative, definitely having a giant impact on the way music is listened to these days, but is it the best?
I don’t know about being the Black Elvis, but Michael Jackson paved a lot of roads for a lot of people to come into the industry and music wouldn’t be the same today without him.
PSA – If I get a single comment about how horrible Michael Jackson was, I will ban ALL commenting to the post. He may have been a controversial person, he may have done a lot of whacked out shit, but that doesn’t make him any less of a fantastic singer and performer.
The screen door slams
Mary’ dress waves
Like a vision she dances across the porch
As the radio plays
Roy Orbison singing for the lonely
Hey that’s me and I want you only
Don’t turn me home again
I just can’t face myself alone again
Don’t run back inside
Darling you know just what I’m here for
So you’re scared and you’re thinking
That maybe we ain’t that young anymore
Show a little faith there’s magic in the night
You ain’t a beauty but hey you’re alright
Oh and that’s alright with me
You can hide ‘neath your covers
And study your pain
Make crosses from your lovers
Throw roses in the rain
Waste your summer praying in vain
For a saviour to rise from these streets
Well now I’m no hero
That’s understood
All the redemption I can offer girl
Is beneath this dirty hood
With a chance to make it good somehow
Hey what else can we do now ?
Except roll down the window
And let the wind blow
Back your hair
Well the night’s busting open
These two lanes will take us anywhere
We got one last chance to make it real
To trade in these wings on some wheels
Climb in back
Heaven’s waiting on down the tracks
Oh-oh come take my hand
We’re riding out tonight to case the promised land
Oh-oh Thunder Road oh Thunder Road
Lying out there like a killer in the sun
Hey I know it’s late we can make it if we run
Oh Thunder Road sit tight take hold
Thunder Road
Well I got this guitar
And I learned how to make it talk
And my car’s out back
If you’re ready to take that long walk
From your front porch to my front seat
The door’s open but the ride it ain’t free
And I know you’re lonely
For words that I ain’t spoken
But tonight we’ll be free
All the promises’ll be broken
There were ghosts in the eyes
Of all the boys you sent away
They haunt this dusty beach road
In the skeleton frames of burned out Chevrolets
They scream your name at night in the street
Your graduation gown lies in rags at their feet
And in the lonely cool before dawn
You hear their engines roaring on
But when you get to the porch they’re gone
On the wind so Mary climb in
It’s town full of losers
And I’m pulling out of here to win
Steve Martin performing LIVE on American Idol FINALE Season 8 5 20 2009 HQ VIDEO
If I gave you pretty flowers
If I took you out to dinner
If we walked on by the river
Would you invite me in
If we sat down on the sofa
If I told you funny stories
If I moved a little closer
Would you put your hand in mine
If told you, you were lovely
If I put my around you
If I touched you on the shoulder
Would you rest your head on mine
If I took you out to dinner
If I moved a little closer
And I touched you on the shoulder would you make love to me
Oh my darling I have loved you since you took me out to dinner
Since we walked down by the river over 30 years ago
When you told me that you loved me I hadn’t felt so lovely
Since the day I decided that I would marry you
Well I took you out to dinner
And I told you funny stories
And I moved a little closer
And you made love to me
If I gave you pretty flowers
If I took you out to dinner
If we walked down by the river la la la la la la la
Wake up to a sunny day, Not a cloud up in the sky
Then it starts to rain.
My defenses hit the ground, and they shatter all around
So open and exposed
But I find strength in the struggle
Face to face with my trouble
Chorus:
When you’re broken, in a million little pieces
And you’re trying, but you can’t hold on anymore
Every tear falls down for a reason
Don’t you stop believing in yourself
When you’re broken.
Little girl don’t be so blue
I know what you’re going through
Don’t let it beat you up.
Hitting walls and getting scars
Only makes you who you are
Only makes you who you are.
No matter how much your heart is aching
There is beauty in the breaking
Yeah
(Repeat chorus)
Better days are you gonna find you once again
Everything will find its place
When you’re broken, when you’re broken
(Repeat chorus)
Oh when you’re broken
When you’re broken
When you’re broken
If only money grew on trees. If it did, I would be one happy girl. That leads to the question.. What would you do if money grew on trees?
One thing that I’d like to do is set up my own home theater. Why? Because I love movies and would love to be able to watch them however they are meant to be watched.
Another thing that I’d like to do is set up a proper office with an L shaped desk. One where I can have my computers under my desk, against a wall with a window to look out. Everything I need at the tips of my fingers and not looking like a pile of papers exploded.
The other thing I’d like to do, if money grew on trees, is take a trip to see my neice and of course my in-laws. I miss them, frankly. Plus they live in Las Vegas and I miss it there, somewhat.

Strike the right chord, and I rap, rap my skull cap
Electric, until I blow my top off
I wrap my lyrics right around the globe
I lay lobes and all
Bit by bit I make it fit
Cause I’m here to knit myself together
and whatever split for my format
and after that
I never stay the same
and treat the freak like a doormat
Jump around on it
I’m here to spray poetic confetti already
Open open open up your skull cap
and let it rain, let it rain, let it rain
Let it drain
All the I’m-too-cool-to-have-a-good-time-
but-really-I’m-a-muted-trumpet type of talkaway
Hey-ey-ey

Welcome to my brain, I got the lid off
my chest I got my nut off
the type of spirit that can break your framework
the same by the end will stay the same
hear the voice of summer
Zow za zow zow
but once I gotta hum a melody
that represents the type of flow I kick
when my tongue is swingin’ like a drumstick
of a jazzy type of lick
everybody’s got the lid on tightly
afraid of what might be lurking right behind
and out of safety
so undo yourself and watch my rhyme go
out of my lyrical chimney
but don’t repeat my voice to the beat
when you hear the track again make up your own words
Cause the rhythm is a conduit to break a split from the homegrown
The well known is on to the unknown
See everyone’s a firecracker like a phone about to get hooked up
and let look up and let look up and let whatever bubbles up
out your head spread the vibes and illuminate the sky
Cause it’s lucas with the lid off
it’s lucas with the lid off
it’s lucas with the lid off
Come on and take your lid off
Watch this
Watch me now you hear me now
take a solo , take a solo
and spread the vibes kid <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

FABLES OF FAUBUS
Young Edition
Series: Simply Mingus for Jazz Ensemble
This classic Mingus composition is meant to be performed with a sense of an “anger” or sarcasm, and definitely projects an edginess. The bari sax and bass bone will have fun with the opening and there is plenty for the rest of the ensemble to get excited about as well in this medium swing romp.
SÒLAS ANÉ (YESTERDAY’S JOY)
Series: MusicWorks Grade 4
Score & Parts
Composer: Samuel R. Hazo
With a unique blend of flowing lines and lush textures coupled with dynamic Celtic drumming, Sam has created a very stylized and effective setting for wind band. Interspersed are quiet moments with soloistic woodwind lines that contrast nicely with the emotional full band passages. Dur: 4:30
There is going to be one giant spring cleaning just as soon as we get the dumpster. There’s a bunch of junk out back that needs to go, there’s also a room full of stuff that needs to sorted through. Plus there is a closet behind my desk that hasn’t seen the light of day since ’98 sometime that severely needs to be emptied.
Once the spring cleaning is done, we can set up one of the bed frames that is in there and get a box spring and mattress so Mom can have an actual bed again. I’m tired of her sleeping on the couch, even though she seems to be more comfortable there. I know that most beds are either too hard or too soft. It’ll be difficult to find one that will be just right.
Ah well, I’m watching train wreck television in the form of Rock of Love Bus on VH1. Crazy show. Later I will be watching Tool Academy reunion as well. Why? It’s amusing.
I can confirm that Summit Entertainment is telling Hollywood privately that Juan Antonio Bayona will direct Eclipse. It’s a very out-of-the-box choice for the 3rd movie in the “Twilight Saga” series of Stephenie Meyer vampire novels being hurried to the big screen by the start-up studio. (I guess it doesn’t matter that other sources tell me Bayona hasn’t yet met Stephenie, huh?) Known as a horror wunderkjind and Guillermo Del Toro protege, the age 33 Bayona screened his Spanish language Gothic mystery El Orfanato (The Orphanage) to a 10-minute standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival. Eclipse is his English language debut. Chris Weitz has already replaced Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke on the sequel New Moon due in November. Eclipse is set for release June 30, 2010, and features battles between werewolves and vampires. Now the question is whether the Twilight fans and Stephenie Meyer will say “Olé”.
MARCH 11 | Blockbuster will commemorate next week’s DVD release of the vampire movie Twilight by holding blood drives at some of its stores.
The largest U.S. movie-rental chain will let customers donate a pint of blood in exchange for a free pint of ice cream as part of its Twilight promotions Friday night, March 20, Blockbuster said in a statement today. The Summit Home Entertainment title will be released on midnight March 21.
Between Blockbuster, Borders, F.Y.E., Hastings Entertainment, Hot Topic and Wal-Mart, Twilight’s release will be celebrated by almost 5,800 store-front parties, Summit said last week. Hastings also has scheduled blood drives for Twilight’s street date.
Blockbuster will hold blood drives in or near New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, among 17 other metropolitan areas. The company also said “hundreds” of other Blockbuster stores will extend operating hours to 1 a.m. on March 21 to accommodate Twilight fans.
Twilight grossed more than $190 million at the box office after its theatrical debut in late November.
