Jennifer Hudson’s mom, brother found dead – 10/24/08 – Philadelphia News – 6abc.com
Oh. My. God. What in the hell is wrong with people?
It’s sad to think of all that loss. I can’t imagine how it must feel to lose a parent and a sibling at the same time. You hear all about these celebrities that lose family members, but you don’t hear about everyone else who loses family members.
I’ve lost my father, I’ve lost a half-sister, but nothing like this. All this killing in the world. *sigh* It’s sad what the world has fallen to pieces the way it currently is going. I feel so bad for her, to deal with that loss.
CORRECTED: TV’s “Mr Clean” dies at age 92 – Yahoo! News
This is sort of old news, but I wanted to comment on it. I always loved the Mr Clean commercials and it makes me sad to know that he’s gone. He was definitely an icon of my childhood. I remember seeing the ads growing up, along with the charmin commercials and the SOS Scrubbing bubbles. I still get a kick out of the Scrubbing Bubbles.
It’s sad to think that all the icons from my childhood are dying off one by one. It makes me more and more aware of my own age. I know I’m only 32 but I’m not18 like I used to be and sometimes I forget it.
Legendary actor Paul Newman dies at age 83 – Yahoo! News
Sad, but not completely unexpected, at least not if you’d seen him lately. He hasn’t looked well for quite a while and it had to be known that it was just a matter of time before he was gone. It is still sad, though, because another legend is gone. I wonder if Newman’s Own will continue on now or not without him. Hopefully it will, since it’s great products and the profits go to great causes. Not much else to say about the subject, other than, who’s next? Got a prediction? Leave it here.
Singer, songwriter Isaac Hayes dies at age 65 – Yahoo! News
May he rest in peace. It’s sad how the deaths happen right together. Who will be the third? It really makes me sad that he’s gone. He was a lovely singer and in a sense, it’s like the end of an era. The circle of life, I guess. There aren’t that many of the great singers from that era left, so it’s hard to see one of them leave this earth. But what can you do? Until everyone can live forever, we will continue losing greats. Who will be next though? I’m watching to see, are you?
The Associated Press: Actor and comedian Bernie Mac dies at age 50
Whoa. I don’t really know how much I can say about this one. I never saw that coming. I had read that he was better and going to be allowed to go home just yesterday. That sucks. I wasn’t really an overly big Bernie Mac fan, but it always sucks to see someone’s life end sooner than it should have. It’s a reminder of how quickly life can end and a big kick in the ass to remind you to make the most of every day because you don’t know if there will be a tomorrow.
Estelle Getty of ‘Golden Girls’ dies at age 84 – omg! news on Yahoo!
What a loss for television. She was such a great actress and really made Golden Girls. I still watch old reruns from time to time and she will always make me laugh.
Funny, I was just telling someone this morning that watching old made me really wonder what in the world I saw in some of the shows. For instance, Diff’rent Strokes was on BET and I watched some of that. I used to LOVE that show when it was originally on air. Now, however, I find it to be quite lame and stupid.
I can’t help but wonder if, in another 15 years we’ll look back at the shows we love now and feel the same way.
Anyway, all that being said, rest in peace, Ms. Getty.
