Every now and then, everyone runs into a bit of money trouble. Unless you’re independently wealthy, you know what I’m talking about. Some weeks, the paycheck just doesn’t stretch far enough and you need to find good payday loans to get you by.

Trust Source is a great resource for anyone who needs that little extra boost. They review and rate the top loan sites so that you can find the one that is the best suited and safest for your needs. Trust Source even allows the customer to rate the sites, so that you get feedback from someone who has used the service.

Trust Source is a great resource for other things as well, but their guide to payday loans are the best resource for you if you truly need one. Just remember, though, to use payday loans sparingly and only from reputable sources or you’ll end up in trouble down the road.

Gold, Silver, Diamonds, The New Currency

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

If you listen to the news lately, then you know that the value of silver and gold is quite high lately. They also say that the value is going to continue to go up every day. This means that it is the best investment right now is metals like silver bullion.

Why invest in silver bullion instead of gold? Well, since 1990, the world demand for silver has exceeded the annual production rate. That means that, if you have invested in silver bullion, then there is going to be more of a demand for what you have, driving the prices up further.

So if you’re looking to invest, look into silver and see what it can do for your investment portfolio.

Mortgage Thoughts

Wednesday, March 5th, 2008

It’s been a year since we signed our names to the new mortgage. The 12th payment went out. One year of payments. It seems like a lifetime ago What’s sad is that there are 168 payments left. That seems like a lifetime from now. This is a 15 year mortgage and we have 14 to go on it. I look at the amortization schedule monthly and cross off a payment every month and it makes me wonder if we’ll get past the first page of it any time soon. Then I look and it will be 2010 before I can get rid of that first page.

It’s crazy, but we didn’t get any real option at the time. I suppose that if we had gotten a mortgage quote elsewhere, it could be better or worse. I don’t know that there could be a better option, though. We don’t pay a lot of money per month, it’s not overly hard on the budget and the interest rate isn’t that bad. I definitely think it’s better than what it could have been.

Would I go back and do this all over again? I sure would. I’d be more than happy to sign my name to the mortgage if I had the choice again. It’s a great feeling, even if it is one of the scariest things I’ve ever done. It’s just hard to believe that it’s been nearly a year since it happened.

Money Can’t Buy You Love

Monday, February 18th, 2008

They say money can’t buy you love, but it seems like it might be able to in some worlds.  If you have money, people seem to be more interested in you.  Everyone that has money, talks about investing and what the best way to invest is. Stock Market? That’s up and down more than… yeah I think you get the drift there! Savings Account? I suppose you could, but that money is only guaranteed as long as the bank doesn’t go bust. Sort of. Most banks are FDIC insured, so they’re secure, but it’s also easily accessible money as well.

Why not buy rare coins instead? It may sound odd, but if you look back through time, what is the one thing that has remained the same? There have been gold coins as currency. While the price will fluctuate, gold coin will always be worth something. If you truly want to invest, Monaco Rare Coin, a part of the Monex family of companies, might be the way for you to go. It’s not as difficult as it may seem and it’s also more secure. You can’t access the money as easily as you can with a savings account.

Not just anyone can help you build a world class rare coin portfolio, and do so cost-effectively, but Monaco Rare Coin can. Why not give them a chance to help you invest in your future.

Random Thoughts: Corporate Sucktitude

Friday, January 25th, 2008

I wrote a while back about why I don’t like working for other people. One of the reasons is the last corporation I worked for was notorious for hiring on a bunch of new hires then pulling some stupid corporate performance management crap and firing them right at the end of their ninety day period. They always made up some stupid excuse, such as bad performance reviews, to do it. Something you can’t fight against, then your file gets sealed. I think that the worse of it, though, was that they were working me 12 hour days, 4 days a week, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. A lot of times, I would work 5 12’s, and the day I was fired, I was on day 6. Two days before I hit the ninety mark. I knew they were doing evaluations that morning, since I had seen the girls on either side of me go into “The Office” and come out upset.

When I was called in, I figured what was going to happen. I had already gotten my stuff together so that I could just toss it in my bag, but yeah. I went into “The Office” and was told, by the floor manager who was never around during the 90 days, that my error rate was too high during the period I was monitored. Oddly enough, it was the day I got all the screwed up batches. Conspiracy? Sure. Corporate crap? Definitely.
