Christmas Cooking

Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008

Okay, so I have made 10 dozen truffles. 4 dozen chocolate oreo truffles, 6 dozen golden oreo truffles. They’re so damn good it’s not even funny. Every year, Mom makes peanut butter balls as well, but this year, she mentioned not making them. I was like, what?? She said that she preferred the oreo ones. o.O So we sat and talked and I suggested that I go to the store and get more cookies. The Dollar General and most grocery stores carry their own brand of ‘oreo’ type cookies in multiple flavors. What I was thinking is that I can get peanut butter, mint, strawberry and lemon cookies and the cream cheese. I have the chocolate and can buy more easily. Mom is making her traditional sugar cookies, I’m supposed to make Hershey Kiss cookies, plus we’ll have fudge.

I need to go out tonight and get the rest of the stuff for Christmas dinner and for the family visit Saturday. It should be fairly easy and painless, but you never really know. I kind of want to go hunt down a few things, but I dunno, since Rob doesn’t get home til after 4. I was going to go to work with him, but it’s too fooking cold for me to sit around and twiddle my thumbs all day. I get too restless.

I started this post *yesterday* and totally forgot about it. So I guess I’ll post it now and move on with it.

What I Did Yesterday

Wednesday, December 17th, 2008

The last two days have been a bit crazy, so lets play a little bit of Catch-Up. We’ll see how far we get. ;) Monday, Rob had a dental appointment at 8:30am in a location I wasn’t quite sure of how to get to. Google Earth gave me a fairly good idea of how to get there, but we needed to make sure there was enough time to get there and not be late. So, we got up at OMGIT’SEARLY (6am) so that we could eat breakfast and I could have coffee to take. We headed out and made it with quite a bit of time to spare, which isn’t a bad thing unless your doctor is perpetually late.

Now, this appointment was for yet another part of Rob’s insane amount of dental work, so it’s not the first visit or just a follow up. Long story short is that they’re pulling all of his teeth, anywhere from 3 to 5 at a time. Because of the way his insurance is set up, it’s being done through the County Health Mobile Dental, so each appointment is at a different location. Now, the dentist is quite good, so I will not complain about him for his dental work, HOWEVER I will complain because his appointments have been at at 8 or 8:30, consistently. The problem is, however, the dentist usually shows up around oh… I’d have to venture to say 8:45 on average. I will give him credit, he’s not a slow dentist by any means, in fact, the second he walks in he gets straight to work and is done in a flash.

A little back story on the Mobile Dental Van - The purpose is to go to the different schools around the county and do low-cost or free dental work for the children and the communities. They try to do all the adults prior to 9am, then students from 9am until noon, then adults from noon until 3. From 3 until 5, they do both. It works out so that adults can be seen before work, during lunch and after work, where as children are during the morning hour before lunch or recess with the school nurse, and then after school with their parents. The flaw, however, is that, invariably, Rob is still in the chair when they bring the first batch of kids in to be seen. Not exactly a good thing when you have that many people in a small space.

Christmas 009So yeah, I just realized I’d already posted about Monday. Guess I was sleep-posting Monday night. Onward to Yesterday. *laugh* Yesterday had a later start, thankfully. Rob had a 1pm appointment with the Ophthalmologist to see if he was finally done with his eye problems, so we headed out a bit before noon so we could get some lunch, since I’m a twit and didn’t think ahead. His appointment went well and he is officially free of that doctor! Hopefully for good this time. We headed to the store to pick up some baking supplies, then finished the good majority of our Christmas shopping. The only thing that needs to be purchased is a Game Stop card for my oldest nephew and something for my mother, since the slippers I bought yesterday were way too big. Yes I let her try them on to see, mostly because she can’t wear overly squishy slippers and I was worried about them being too big.

After we did our shopping, we went to the library for a bit so that I could pick up the book I had requested, plus I wanted to check my accounts so I knew how much money we had left so that I didn’t overspend and break myself. After we did that, we headed off to get some dinner and waste a bit of time before we went to see Twilight. It was a lovely, leisurely day, no rushing here and there. I quite enjoyed it, until we came out of the movie theater and the car was covered with snow. It wasn’t a ton, but it was enough that it had to be brushed clean first. We made it home easily though, so it wasn’t bad.

I’d write more, but I started this post around 10 hours ago and got sidetracked, repeatedly. I’ll write about Twilight later.

Snow..

Friday, December 12th, 2008

We got our first real snow of the year. It was ice underneath, too. Meh. I’m not really all that happy about it, but it wasn’t so bad that we didn’t get out of the house today. I managed to procure a gift for the 8yr old child. I still need to get a gift card for the 18yr old. I’m debating between GameStop and iTunes. I know he wants Gears of War 2, but I refuse to shell out that kind of money. I know that my mother is giving him cash, but I want to do something separate myself.

I have to buy a gift for my mother yet, but I have absolutely no idea what the hell to get for her. I have to finish up two gifts to send out, but they won’t be sent out until after the holiday unless by some miracle, there are another hundred hours in a day. I can’t wait until next week is over. Well Monday and Tuesday, that is. They’re going to be busy days. Rob and Mom have appointments Monday, then Rob has one Tuesday afternoon, plus I need to go finish Christmas shopping.

For now, I’m gonna go finish listening to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and do some work.

Holiday Humbug

Monday, December 8th, 2008

As per usual, I have a major case of the holiday humbugs. I used to love Christmas, the lights, the tree, the smiles on people’s faces. I still enjoy looking at the lights, but it’s nowhere near the level of love I used to have. I remember, one Christmas right after Rob and I moved back here, we went driving to look at the lights. We haven’t done that since, though.

All the hunting for the right gift, all the money.. all the commercialization of the holiday has put my in a place where I hate the mere thought of Christmas. I put on a smile, suck it up and try not to let my Scrooge-ness ruin it for others, but it’s hard. As a kid, I was happy with whatever I got for Christmas. I didn’t expect the biggest or best things in the world. But now, it seems like kids expect to get whatever they want, no matter the cost.

For Instance, my 18 yr old nephew wants Gears of War 2 for the Xbox. That’s the only thing he asked for and that is a $60 game. The 8 yr old wants a nearly impossible to find set of Magnetix. The other things that were suggested for him are also nearly impossible to find, or if you can find them, they’re out of *my* budget reach. More and more, I realize just how different my sister raised the boys as compared to how we were raised. It makes me sad, really.

But, life will go on. I will go to the Mall Friday, I will shop for the little monster and his brother and they will get what I get them, like it or not. I can’t wait for the holiday to be over, but then I’ll have even more crap to worry about. It’s a never ending cycle. *sigh*

Better Friday

Friday, December 5th, 2008

Despite being awake until 3am, I was up and out of the house by 9:30 to head to the store. Yesterday’s car fiasco left us without meat. Not good, right? Right. So, we headed out and got the rest of the stuff we needed, came home and put it away, all in time for Rob to go get his check and get to the bank before noon. Shocking what I can get done on so little sleep.

Today’s mail delivery brought me a box from Joann.com *bounce* with the most beautiful baby yarn so that I can make a baby blanket for a friend after I finish the Christmas gifts. I seriously want more of that color, but I can’t until after the holidays are over. I can’t wait to finish off the stuff I have in progress so I can move on to new projects. :)

But yeah, today was definitely a better day so far. I just need to get off my arse and get some stuff done around here. I’d rather have a nap, though. Maybe later, if I get everything done. Yes, I’m giving myself motivation!

Bad Bad Thursday

Friday, December 5th, 2008

Why is it that every single time I think that we might just have a little extra money for the holidays, SOMETHING has to go wrong? Seriously.. it’s starting to get REALLY old. Today’s simple shopping trip for groceries and potential Christmas gifts for the 8yr old nephew turned into a crazy ass mess that left me standing outside in the cold for an hour.

So, we head out late this morning for Ithaca, no big deal, right? Right… It was raining a little, but not bad.. coulda been worse and been SNOW. We get into the city and decide on an early lunch of chinese food. We eat, pay, head out to the car and everything seemed fine. We head off to the mall, on the premise of hitting up Toys’R'Us. I notice the “Charge” light is lit up on the dash. I figure he might have left the lights on while we were eating. No biggie, it’ll charge while we’re driving.

So, we get to the mall, drive around to try to find the appropriate entrance. Finally find the main entrance. He lets me out at the door and goes to park. Went in to find the map to find the store and a restroom. Now, the Pyramid mall is a SMALL mall, about 60 stores in all. It always has been, which is why I like it so much. So I scan through the store list. No Toys’R'Us. Wtf? I KNOW there was one, but now? No more. Not even a KB Toys! Crap, I wasted my time. Oh and while I’m on the subject.. They remodeled the entire freaking mall! It honestly looked like they’d bulldozed it down and started from scratch. That’s just how different the thing was!

One bright spot is that I know where AC Moore is now! It’s in the freaking mall. I was good, however, and didn’t go in there. In fact, I was so annoyed that I turned around and walked back out of the mall before Rob could even get inside. *laugh* I will be going back at some point to explore the new shops cuz I saw a few listed that I really liked the look of, like “THEE AMISH MARKET”

Anyway, we get in the car, the Charge light comes on again and I start to get a bit worried, but the car starts and runs just fine, so we just head to Aldi’s for groceries. Do our thing there, the car starts, behaves mostly. We get down to Tops and it’s kind of spluttery by that point. We go in and do our thing, figuring that, at worse, we can get someone to give us a jump and I can get it checked out tomorrow. We come out, car is dead. Meh. Fine, get a nice guy to jump it and we figure it’ll charge on the way home, no biggie. We head out, the car kind of splutters any time we get caught at a light. Finally get out of the city proper and onto the highway and it seems to be better.

We get down the road and … splutter, splutter, out goes the dash lights totally.. fuck… splutter, die… yep.. driving down the road and it crapped out. Shit.. coast it, luckily there’s a guy with an ‘auto repair’ business. Figure we can get him to take a look and see if it’s battery or alternator. He checks.. alternator. Fuck… Check cell phone - no signal area - FUCK. Use nice guy’s phone, call Mom, tell her exactly where we are, have her call the tow company we use.. tell her our phones are dead zoned.. so we then proceed to wait.

Stand out in the cold, wind, leaning against the car, watching for the tow truck for 45 minutes. Finally go sit in the car for a bit cuz I can’t take it any more. Wait another 15 minutes, Friend of nice guy comes out and talks to us, offers to fix it.. by this point, I’m ready to let anyone fix it as long as I can GO HOME. It’s freezing. So I go inside, he calls for part price, I call home, tell mom to cancel the tow truck cuz it ain’t shown yet, sit and get warm.. Rob and Randy (I finally find out names by this point) go outside to look the car over to see how hard it is to take off the alternator. Tow truck shows up! Thank god for that. I go outside, we talk a bit about what to do. In the meantime, Randy starts to piss me off, so we have the tow truck take the car. Thank Randy for his offer, etc.

Randy then proceeds to tell me.. get this one.. that since I am a woman, I need to stand there and make sure our mechanic tests the alternator because mechanics will always try to screw a woman over. He also tells the tow driver how to do his job. At this point, it was a crap shoot as to who was going to deck Randy.. me or the tow driver. We get the car loaded, climb up into the tow truck and off we go. Thank god. Not only was Randy annoying the piss out of me, he was DRUNK. Yeah. Thank god for the tow truck showing up. He told us flat out, he was taking the car with or without us. *laugh* We found out later that they have run-ins with Randy on a regular basis and won’t let someone leave a car there.

So yeah, we get somewhere I get cell service, driver stops to recheck the car - just because it’s good practice - and I call Mom, tell her where we are, with whom, etc.. Rob calls the garage, lets him know we’re coming and why. We get there, drop the car, check the car, yep - alternator is dead. Mechanic calls, orders part, part shows 5 minutes later and within 20 or so minutes, we’re on our way home - FINALLY.

Towing Charges = $85
Repair Charges = $150

Can we just declare Thursday as major FAIL? Yeah. All I want for Christmas is a blossoming Money Tree.

And just so that this isn’t all whine-fest, there was a bright spot. I got a lovely Christmas card from someone that I didn’t really expect one from and it totally made me smile. I also got the rest of the yarn that I need to finish the purple blanket that I’ve been working on. So YAY! Maybe I can get it done and shipped before the holiday after all!

With that said - I’m declaring today OVER and going to bed.

Tip Sharing..

Sunday, November 30th, 2008

Since it’s shopping season and no one has immeasurable wealth that *I* know, I figured I’d share one of my absolutely favorite websites. Mr. Rebates is absolutely fabulous. Coupon codes, plus rebates from most major online retailers. You can save money and earn money back at the same time.

I love the site and in the spirit of sharing, I figured I’d share it again since it’s been a while. ;)

Shopping

Saturday, November 29th, 2008

This is the story wherein I tell you why I hate shopping. I dislike crowds of people, but it’s more than that, really. Several years ago, when I was in college, my father picked me up in the city because we had to shop for Thanksgiving dinner. My mother wasn’t feeling well, so she hadn’t gotten to the store and it defaulted to me to do it. I didn’t mind, really, since all I had to do was pick out a Turkey and a few small items.

So, I go into Tops with my list and the money, pick up everything I needed and head off to find the birds. I find them and there are only two left in the freezer, so I check the weight to see which is closest to what they wanted, pick it up and have it halfway in my cart. Along comes this kind looking old man who attempts to take the turkey out of my hands. I kid you not, he grabbed it right from my hands and tried to pull it away.

I was absolutely dumbfounded, I couldn’t believe that a man his age would be so incredibly rude as to try to take something out of someone elses hands. I didn’t know what to say. He did not get the bird, however. I had a better hold on it than he did. I told my father about it when I got back to the car and he just laughed about it. Now, years later, it’s a great story we laugh about, but it left a lasting impression on me when it comes to shopping.

So now, unless I have absolutely no other choice, I grocery shop on days when the stores are most likely to be quietest. I also try to send Rob in when they’re busy and I stay out of any and all stores from about a week before Thanksgiving until after New Years Day unless I have to. Shopping online has become my favorite way to shop. Seriously.

Update post coming sometime soon… I promise

Happy Friday!

Friday, November 14th, 2008

So, Rob had a Friday off for a change. What? When does that happen? Oh yeah, when he was supposed to have a dental appointment. I’m kind of ticked about that, actually. We scheduled his appointment for today, he went and told his boss. She told him he would either have to take an extra day or work a late shift. So, I called and changed the appointment to one of the days that she designated for his days off. Either a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. So we took the earliest appointment available on those days. Turns out to be December 15th. Fine. He’ll have the 15th-16th off.

Fast forward to him getting his schedule for this week. He had - get this - Tuesday and Friday (today) off. Yeah, I wasn’t very impressed with that. I was like, why the hell did I reschedule??? It’s alright though, it was an absolutely beautiful day and we were able to do things we needed to do. It was nice enough that I didn’t even need a coat. Wtf? It’s November! I’m not complaining though.

I attempted to do some Christmas shopping. Attempted and FAILED. Now, bear in mind that I live in a small area that our shopping choices are K-Mart or Wal-Mart. So yeah, guess I have to go into the city or shop online for what I want. That’s fine, really, I can do that when Rob is off this coming week.

On another note, I’ve been having bizarre dreams about someone from my past and even woke myself up laughing the other morning. Weird. I don’t normally dream about people from my past. I dream about places from my past, more often than not. Oh well, maybe it’s a sign that I’m gonna talk to the person soon. I kind of hope that’s the case.

Anyway, I think that covers everything I planned on talking about. I really have no idea, since it’s taken me a couple hours to write the post. *laugh*

Whee!

Saturday, October 4th, 2008

Simple things can make me happy from time to time.
Today, it was buying groceries.
And I hate grocery shopping with a passion

Yeah…
Real post later.

Whoa..

Thursday, October 2nd, 2008

It’s cold enough for the furnace to run today. What? It’s only October 2! This is not right. I mean, last night, I went out with just a hoodie over a tank, but it was too chilly to wear sandals. Blah, guess it’s time to buckle down the windows for winter, which SUCKS. I also need to buy a decently priced humidifier. I kind of want this one. It’s cute and it will fit on my desk without me having to make a ton of room. The problem? It ain’t payday yet.

I know I’ve been remiss at posting lately, there’s just a bunch going on and often the only thing that gets posted are my twitter posts. I know they bother some people, but I think that I’d rather see those, than nothing at all. At least people get some idea that I haven’t fallen off the face of the earth, no matter how long it is between posts. ;) Plus, I have them for a reference for things I need to post about.

I’m currently watching “Most Unique McDonald’s” on the Travel Channel. It’s kind of fascinating. Why is it on? Because I fell asleep watching Pizza Paradise last night and I didn’t bother changing the channel when I turned the TV on this morning. There’s some damn cool McDonald’s out there. Now I have “The View” on. I don’t know why, since it’s turned all political and then some.

Speaking of politics, I told someone yesterday that I can not wait until the election is over. I’m so sick of all the Palin haters, all the Obama haters, all the bullshit that goes along with the political season. It seems like every other post on my friends list lately has some sort of political commentary in it and it’s made me not want to read lately. Honestly, what we think about Obama and McCain and their VP choices don’t really matter. When it’s all said and done, they’re just figureheads. Any real change, comes from Congress. We should be more concerned about what Congress is doing, rather than who the Face of the Nation is going to be. Just give that some thought before you go on with your political rants.

With that, I’m out.

Awww

Thursday, September 4th, 2008

Today was a beautiful day and it was spent eating lunch at Stewart Park in Ithaca before doing some grocery shopping. It was a beautiful day, probably one of the last really beautiful days when I’ll be able to go somewhere.

We stopped at Wendy’s and grabbed our lunch and headed to the park. There were crazy amounts of geese and ducks and gulls around and they didn’t even try to run or get away either. So I was really up close and personal with them. It was funny cuz they kept getting closer and closer. I think they wanted us to feed them. There were a couple geese with broken wings, tho. :(

After a bit of time taking pictures, we headed out for the rest of our uneventful errands and finally ended up back home where we put stuff away and I cooked steak for dinner. I love my indoor grill, it’s so damn handy. Tomorrow I’m planning on cooking brats on it. I have the stuff to make muffins, 2 different types of bread.. I’m set to cook and bake and grill. I’m a happy girl about that.

Now, I’m going to go relax for the night.

Hoodie Love

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

So, I have shunned hoodies for a long time, mostly because I’m not a fan of things on my head. However, I’ve noticed over the last few years that the winters aren’t nearly as cold as they used to be. Also, I’m not out in the cold for extended periods. Mostly it’s to go to and from the car or house or store. So a heavy winter coat is too hot for me.

I figured that this winter, rather than killing myself with my winter coat, I’d pick up a couple of hoodies to wear instead. So far, I have two that I bought from people in fatshionista, which makes me quite happy. I love both of them. Especially the black one I just got. *see picture* :P Mom got a big kick out of it when I told her about it.

I want a zip up hoodie still, then I’ll be satisfied and stop buying them. Maybe. Anyway, I’m done babbling about clothing.

Product Hype

Saturday, July 19th, 2008

So, from time to time, you see offers for different promotional products that a company sends out for review or just to get their word out. I have to wonder, does that make us look at things differently. Do we go out and buy the products that are so heavily promoted, or do we still shop they way we would without it? Some days it’s really hard to tell.

Camera Memory

Monday, July 14th, 2008

One of the things that I’ve realized is that because I like to take a lot of pictures, I should get another, larger, memory card. Currently, I have a 512MB card and while I haven’t come close to filling it, it’s a possibility if I don’t take pictures off it right away. This is where the problem is, I use the card reader on my laptop. It reads all the card types, including micro sd, so I don’t have to futz around with the usb cord and camera software. Why is this a problem? Because I don’t always feel like uploading my card when I get home and if I go to multiple day events with my camera, I run the risk of filling it and not being able to take more pictures.

So, I suppose I should come up with the money to get the card before the month is over, since next month is my favorite picture taking time.

Website Sharing: Work Boots USA

Sunday, July 6th, 2008

Everyone needs good boots no matter what you do. They’re handy when you need to go out in the garden after it rains, heck they’re handy no matter where you need to go after it rains. Often times you want special water proof boots, but if it’s just mud then work boots will work just as well.

Most work boots are water proof, so they go anywhere you want to go. Work in the field, work in the rocks and stones, trek through the mud all in the same shoes. Everyone needs a good pair of work boots, even if they’re only worn once a year.

Check out Work Boots USA for a pair of work boots for your closet.

Shopping and Organizing

Saturday, June 21st, 2008

So, I spent a bunch of money yesterday on different things, mostly for organizing my kitchen. One thing that I should consider is a printer for Dymo labels so that I can label my rices and pastas in the cupboard. I have a lot of different types and sometimes I can’t remember what is what, since none of it is in the bag any more. I love my storage containers, but I need to label them better.

How do you organize your kitchen?

Product Info: SleepMate White Noise Machine

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

Sleep isn’t always easy for people, especially when they are trying to sleep in a noisy environment. I know I have trouble sleeping sometimes if there is unexpected noise, but I couldn’t fathom how hard it must be for someone who is sensitive to all noise. That’s why White Noise Generators are so great. What they do is mask unwanted sound and create a sense of calm with something that is like the sound of rushing air.

With a white noise machine, you will fall asleep faster, sleep more peacefully and wake up more rested in the morning. So once you wake up, why not slip your feet into Foot Cozy Heated Slippers? Feel rested, keep your feet warm, what could be better?

Police Gear: Flashlights

Friday, May 23rd, 2008

Everyone needs a good flashlight, right? I know that if the power goes off or a breaker blows at night, you have no ability to see unless you have a candle or a good flashlight. So why not check out the Surefire new flashlights? They’re the flashlights that the police use, so they have to be good.

Have you ever seen a police officer who’s flashlight wasn’t good? I know that I haven’t. They’re always brighter than the ones you can buy in the store and they last longer. And now, they’re even smaller than they used to be. You can hold them in the palm of your hand and not have the big bulk to worry about.

They are a tad pricey, but a good quality flashlight on a dark night is always worth the extra cost.

Gift Ideas: Luxury Watches

Friday, April 18th, 2008

People struggle with gift ideas quite often. One of the things that I’ve always thought of as a great gift idea is a watch. Not one of the cheap watches they sell at Wal-Mart, but really nice luxury watches that are fairly costly. I preach good quality, low price as a rule, but a good quality watch will last you forever if you put the money into it.

This is not a watch that is worn every day, but one that is kept for all those special occasions when you need a time piece and a cell phone is inappropriate. Yes, there really are times when it’s inappropriate to pull out your phone to check the time. So if you need a gift that will last forever, be willing to spend the money for a good quality watch and you have a gift that keeps on giving for years to come.

Compare Before You Buy

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

With the large amount of new technology that comes out on a seemingly daily basis, we need to have some sort of way to keep track of what’s new, what’s good and what’s not worth the money.

That’s where DiGXA comes in handy. You can pick your electronics of choice and get comparisons of all the features, even minute details along with a price comparison. Along with the comparisons, you can even learn where you can get the best prices for the items your want to buy.

Why spend hours going from site to site or store to store comparing your purchases before buying when you have one site that you can go to and have it all done at once? Why spend hours comparing details when it can be done in minutes with DiGXA’s full service website. You can not only find electronics comparisons, but you can also compare just about everything else.

Shopping Thoughts

Saturday, March 29th, 2008

Living out in the middle of nowhere has advantages and disadvantages. One of the disadvantages is that we still get some of our television by analog (over the air) antennae signal. Now as of February 2009, all stations must be digital. Why is this an issue? Some of us do not have the option of getting out stations via cable or satellite (aka digital) signal.

So, now we have to purchase set top conversion boxes in order to keep our local channels. That sucks, but at least they’re giving out coupon cards to take off $40 of the cost. Out of pocket, it will only cost approximately $10 each box. That’s not too horrible. I was expecting to be around $100 after the coupon. That means, I can take the money that I was thinking I would need for the boxes and put it towards a a plasma tv.

Now, the only problem with that is that I don’t know if there is any wall that can support a plasma tv mount. Perhaps the bedroom wall where the mirror is. The mirror is unnecessary, so I could take it down and not care. Though, I should use the money for other things. Practical things. It kinda sucks cuz I wanna splurge. Ah well. We’ll see.

Labels And Shipping Made Easy

Tuesday, March 11th, 2008

In this day and age of ebay sales being more and more like big business, a lot of people are looking at finding easier and faster ways to get their sales sent out. Buyers don’t want to wait for their purchases and sellers want to get good feedback, right? So what can a seller do to speed up their shipping times? They can get one of the coolest things I’ve seen in a while, a Dymo LabelWriter 400.

With a label writer, printing your shipping labels, making them more legible for the postal service. This means that there will be less of a chance of your package going astray because they can’t read the address correctly. If you buy a Dymo LabelWriter 400 Turbo, Twin Turbo or Duo, you’ll even be able to print online stamps for your packages. That’s right, you can take care of your shipping labels and your postage with the same printer.

Most other label makers will only do just your shipping labels and in order to do online postage, you need to have a separate printer. Dressing Up Your Man

So, once in a while, a woman wants their man to look good. Perhaps for a wedding or a special black tie event. So what is the one thing that is needed that most men don’t have? Modern cufflinks, I’ve found, are the one thing most men do not have.

Most men I know have old fashioned cufflinks, ones that have been handed down through the generations. What do you do when you have a younger man who has a more modern flair? That’s why you need to check out the Tateossian cufflinks. They’re stylish and classy, yet not old-fashioned. And the best part about them? They aren’t that expensive, they just look it.

They definitely aren’t your grandpa’s cufflinks! So when you’re getting yourself or your man ready for a special even, remember to find new, modern, stylish cufflinks to suit him.

Random Thoughts

So I’ve been thinking about getting a different bed. We’ve only had this one for two or three years now, but it’s exceptionally hard and uncomfortable. I wake up with a sore back every day. I wake up half way up the wall from trying to get comfortable at night. It’s really not fun to sleep on that bed, even though it’s still practically brand new.

If I had a choice, I’d get one of the new memory foam beds. Something that’s comfortable and easy on my back. Then maybe I’d fall asleep at night instead of laying awake or tossing and turning. Unfortunately, they’re still out of my price range. Soon, though, I will have one, even if I have to kill for it. >;)

I should just get one of the foam mattress toppers instead to see if that does any good, instead of my feather bed.
